Renunciation of Singapore Citizenship

From 20 November 2023 onward, Singapore Citizens are to submit the application to renounce their citizenship online.

From 20 November 2023 onward, Singapore Citizens are to submit the application to renounce their citizenship online. A citizen of Singapore can only renounce his/her Singapore citizenship if he/she:

  • Is aged 21 and above;

  • Is of sound mind; and

  • Has acquired the citizenship of another country. 

Singapore Citizens can submit their application via the online application portal. For more information, please refer to ICA's website.
