     Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan is on a working visit to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan from 6 to 7 May 2017. 


     During his visit, Minister Balakrishnan called on His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein.  Reaffirming the close ties between Jordan and Singapore, Minister Balakrishnan and His Majesty King Abdullah exchanged views on developments in the Middle East and Southeast Asia, including ways to counter radicalisation and violent extremism. 


     Minister Balakrishnan will depart Jordan for Singapore this evening.
