                   Minister of External Relations of the Federative Republic of Brazil Mauro Luiz Iecker Vieira is making an introductory visit to Singapore from 22 to 23 July 2015 at the invitation of Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Law K Shanmugam.


                   Minister Vieira was hosted to lunch by Minister Shanmugam during which both sides reaffirmed the growing bilateral relations in the political and economic spheres, and exchanged views on ways to deepen and broaden the scope of bilateral cooperation.  They also had substantive discussions on regional and international developments, including climate change negotiations and the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP).  Minister Vieira also called on Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Tharman Shanmugaratnam this afternoon.
